All of us sell something; whether it is information, product, or a service, online or in-person, we all can increase our sales significantly using psychological techniques and strategies, regardless of what we do.
My name is Matin H. Arasteh. I’m a social psychology researcher and activist. I’ve been studying consumer behavior for many years, and I’m the manager of a team of consumer behavior experts to help the ones who want to boost their sales!
I’m an M.A. psychology graduate, and I’ve been certified from Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Wesleyan University. I’ve been under the supervision of some of the greatest professors in this field namely, Scott Plous, Barry Nalebuff, and Jonah Berger. If you don’t know who these people are, just google their name!
Now, let’s take a brief look at the definition of Consumer Behavior to get a grasp of what this field is really about.
Consumer behavior is the study of individuals, groups, or organizations and all the activities associated with the purchase, use, disposal of goods and services, and how the consumer’s emotions, attitudes, and preferences affect buying behavior. (Wikipedia)

Foot-in-the-door (FITD) technique
Foot-in-the-door (FITD) technique is a compliance tactic that aims at getting a person to agree to a large request by having them agree to a modest request first.
This technique works by creating a connection between the person asking for a request and the person being asked. If a smaller request is granted, then the agreeing person feels like they are obligated to keep agreeing with larger requests to stay consistent with the original decision of agreeing. (Wikipedia)
